Rocky Mountain National Park
The snow-mantled peaks of Rocky Mountain National Park rise above verdant
valleys, twisting rivers, and glistening lakes. One-third of the park is
above tree line. Across the park, Trail Ridge Road is called the Colorado's most impressive byway and the highest, continuously paved road in the world. This two-lane road crosses the Continental Divide at nearly 13,000 feet. With 10 miles of road above tree line, the park is a great vantage point to admire some of most spectacular, two-billion-year-old metamorphic rock formations.
