Acadia National Park
in Maine is a hidden treasure. When I came to visit the park in July
1998, I was stunned by its rugged beauty and once wrote a poem about it.
People call Acadia "mountain that come down to the ocean ..." Here, mountains are connected with the ocean, in one body. The peak is called Cadillac Mountain,
1,530-foot high (highest point on the U.S. Atlantic seaboard). Ocean,
forest, islets, ships and villages all can be seen when overlooking from the
peak. Lakes and ponds formed by glacier are clear uncomparable.
